November 2026 | 12 Days | Prices Vary

Day 1 | Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport- Arusha

Your guide will meet you on arrival at Kilimanjaro airport and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha.

Arusha town is Tanzania’s safari capital, famous or its well better-known neighbors, including Tarangire, Manyara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. The town has numerous first-class restaurants, bars, and local markets.

Arusha’s rural charm is amplified by the many beautiful coffee plantations that surround the town, many of them dating back to colonial times and offering tours of graceful plantation houses.

Serena Hotel Arusha

Arusha Serena Hotel is unlike any other hotel in Tanzania with authentic, bespoke experiences that stir the traveller’s soul while showcasing the breathtaking tranquillity of our surroundings.

Set among the woodland slopes of Mount Meru at the edge of Lake Duluti, there’s no better destination for soaking in the beauty and magnificence of the Tanzanian “Northern Safari Circuit.”

Day 2 | Arusha National Park

First up this morning, an experienced local guide takes us on a game drive in Arusha National Park —the first of many on your safari — to look for gentle giraffes, boisterous baboons, colorful flamingoes and big buffalo. Return to the hotel mid-afternoon.

Day 3 | Arusha - Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart to Tarangire National Park —Tanzania's third-largest national park and sanctuary— for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them.

Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides only the area’s water supply. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and up to six thousand elephants. We will spend 2 days here doing game drives in the national and a cultural visit with the semi-nomadic tribes around the area.

Lake Burunge Tented Lodge (or similar)

Be a privileged spectator from this luxury camp on the shores of Lake Burunge.

From the elegant wooden central platform, where the Lake Burunge Tented Lodge restaurant stands, it’s possible to watch the lakeshore waiting for the animals that come to drink there.

Because the camp is strategically located in the natural corridor between Manyara and Tarangire, the spectacle of the migration is guaranteed! The camp is located 10 minutes from the entrance to the park known as Sangaiwe.

Accommodation

This camp is the perfect place to relax in comfort after a day of game drives in Tarangire, simply carried away by the breeze and the colors of the African sunset from your private terrace.

Day 5 | Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara Park is located beneath the cliffs of the Manyara Escarpment, on the edge of the Rift Valley. Lake Manyara National Park offers varied ecosystems, incredible birdlife, and breathtaking views.

In contrast with the intimacy of the forest is the grassy floodplain, across the alkaline lake, to the jagged blue volcanic peaks that rise from the endless Masai Steppes.

Large buffalo, wildebeest, and zebra herds, and giraffes congregate on these grassy plains. Squadrons of banded mongoose dart between the acacias, whereas the diminutive Kirk’s dik-dik forage in their shade.

Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded, and any visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day.

Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge (or similar)

Tanzania’s towering Mto wa Mbu escarpment provides a remarkable backdrop for a one-of-a-kind visit. Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge welcomes you with a peaceful location amidst the rich wildlife and unsurpassed tranquility of Lake Manyara National Park.

The lake is home to over 300 migratory birds including flamingoes, long-crested eagles and grey-headed kingfisher; the lodge is designed to mimic this extraordinary birdlife, with an architectural motif featuring swooping avian curves and vibrantly colored wall frescoes depicting the intricacy of bird migratory patterns.

At Lake Manyara lodge, you’ll find everything you need to relax, rejuvenate, and discover the singular beauty of the region. Housed in circular two-storey “rondavels,” accommodations pay homage to tradition, while also offering contemporary perks.

On your way, visit and enter the conservation area of Ngorongoro and descend 600m into this magnificent crater for a half-day game drive.

The Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino.

Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater, after which you will climb up of the crater for a short afternoon lodge inspection at the Carter rim.

Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge (or similar)

Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge is an award-winning gem of a hotel in one of the most beautiful settings in Tanzania.

Seamlessly blended high into an acacia-lined ridge, our African-style lodge and infinity pool offer panoramic views across the Serengeti’s vast, endless grasslands, where lions and cheetahs stalk their prey and massive migrating wildebeest herds darken the landscape in a relentless search for fresh grazing grounds.

Ngorongoro Crater

One of the best places in Africa to spot the Big Five – elephants, leopards, lions, buffalo and the rare black rhinoceroses is the ancient Ngorongoro Crater, often called Africa's "Garden of Eden," is home to almost every species in Africa... except the giraffe, which can't negotiate the steep incline down into the caldera but will be seen at the rim of the crater.

Game drives and a unique picnic lunch on the crater floor offer ample opportunities to spot lions, cheetahs, hippos and lots of birds.

Day 7 | Central Serengeti National Park

An early morning wake-up call, then breakfast. Today you will depart for a 3 hour morning game drive, then inspect lodges and Camps in Serengeti.

In the late afternoon, you will go on an evening game drive as the sun sets in the Serengeti.

Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, and it has the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa. Established in 1952, it is home to the great migration of wildebeest and zebra. The resident population of lion, cheetah, elephant, giraffe, and birds is also impressive.

The Park can be divided into 3 sections:

  • The southern/central part is called the Seronera Valley, with its classic savannah dotted with acacias and filled with wildlife.

  • The western corridor is marked by the Grumeti River and has more forests and dense bush.

  • The north meets up with Kenya’s Maasai Mara Reserve — the least visited section.

It is the migration for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous. Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May and June. During the months of July-September the herds will cross the Mara River again and again in search of fresh grass. They will have to face the mighty crocodiles in the river, who are waiting quietly in the water for their opportunity. Serengeti is also known as the “endless plains” in the Maasai language.

Day 8 | Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti Plains

Today begins with a leisure breakfast before you begin to venture to the corners of the mighty Serengeti plains for an unlimited game drive with high chances of following the great migration and spotting prides of lions, cheetahs, leopards, and many more.

After picnic lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive.

Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 9 | Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater

An early breakfast in Serengeti and then depart for the conservation area of Ngorongoro, descending 600m into this magnificent crater for a half- day game drive.

The Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino.

Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge

Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge is nestled up against the Ngorongoro Forest Reserve offering stunning views over a working coffee plantation onto the forest.

Catering to safari visitors, Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge is located between the villages of Rhotia and Karatu on the northern Tanzania safari circuit. The luxurious lodge is well situated for visiting Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park.

Twenty-six cottages, including three two-room family suites, comprise spacious accommodation with hand crafted furniture, a private verandah, fireplace, indoor and outdoor shower and a ‘slipper’ bath tub. Each room has two large beds, a seating area, writing desk and chair plus ample closet space. An expansive common area houses reception, lounge, bar and dining room complete with complimentary wi-fi. A large veranda overlooks the swimming pool, spa and guest rooms; a perfect space for enjoying afternoon tea or eveningcocktails. There is a small gift shop as well.

Day 10 | Cultural Experience; Bushmen

After an early breakfast today, you will visit the Lake Eyasi basin.

Lake Eyasi is an Alkaline-lake, springs surrounded by groundwater forest and woodland abound, supporting a new influx of Tanzanian farmers growing onions and beans, while the hill ridges surrounding the Lake valley to the east and north support a wild and scenic area dominated by ancient Baobabs, Gnarled Commiphoras, and huge rock kopjes.

The area is the home to a group of traditional tribes, offering an intriguing chance to glimpse their lifestyles. The pastoralist Datoga people in their traditional mud huts, their women decorated with beautifying facial scarification and the young and fierce warriors who stand guard over their herds, are easily visited, as is the traditional Hadzabe, a nomadic tribe that hangs on tenaciously to their hunting and gathering lifestyle.

Apart from cultural activities, the area offers superb hiking, bird watching, and scenic beauty.

Day 11 | Mto Wa Mbu Tour & Cultural Visit

This morning we will drive to the bustling farming community of Mto Wa Mbu, located between Manyara and Ngorongoro, and home to around 18,000 people. Spend half a day here with a knowledgeable local guide and you’ll discover a side of Tanzania that many visitors miss.

A melting pot of cultures, Mto Wa Mbu is thought to be one of the only places in Tanzania where there are representatives from all 120 tribes living happily side by side.

During your visit you’ll get a good feel for the social side of the village – the farms and the milling machines, the schools, markets and churches. Your guide will happily answer any questions you might have, and will help you to gain an understanding of the inner workings of this typical Tanzanian community.

Your tour will finish in the bustling local market, where you can wander around stalls selling fruits, vegetables, spices and meat. Your guide will stop and explain points of interest, and give you the opportunity to try and smell a variety of foods. A real treat for the senses!

Day 12 |Karatu - Arusha, Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport

Following breakfast, you will be heading to Arusha City on the way you will also make a few stops to see properties around Karatu.

Although the tour is over, there are options to extend your journey!
